The wimp Anwar was pushed by his own Bersih demonstrators and fell
Minutes 0.12 -0.14: Anwar, Fayyadh and PAS President Hadi Awang in the group at KL Sentral.
Initially, despite the congestion and hounding by the press corps, the procession looked calm and smooth.
Minute 0.16: The situation became tense when participants began to push and shove. Raucous noise and screams were heard from the crowd.
Anwar was squeezed by the crowd on all sides, while members of the press were advancing to get better visual angles.
Minute 0.17: In the confusion, Ibrahim Yaakub, who was separated from Anwar turned around to look for his boss.
At that moment, Fayyadh who was always by Anwar’s side was left behind, while the rest of the procession was moving forward.
Minute 0.19-0.24: Ibrahim Yaakub suddenly rushed to the rear when he realised that his boss was being badly squeezed by the crowd.
Fayyadh failed to guard Anwar, and both fell after being pushed by the BERSIH demonstrators.
Despite attempts by Ibrahim Yaakub to save his boss, Anwar still fell. Both of them fell on the road.
During the confusion when Anwar and Fayyadh fell, there were no police officers, FRU personnel or sniper squad as alleged earlier by Fayyadh. (Click here).
Anwar and Fayyadh fell because of the shoving and pushing by the demonstrators. This was made worse by the columns of advancing press corps wanting to get the best possible coverage of the fiasco.
Minute 0.28-0.33: Ibrahim Yaakub turned around in an attempt to get help for Anwar from the other participants.
One man in yellow T-shirt rushed to the rear, presumably to assist Anwar.
Meanwhile, those at the front continued to forge ahead, with the press in tow, while Anwar, Fayyadh and Ibrahim were left behind.
Minute 0.44-0.52: Anwar, propped by Fayyadh and Ibrahim being taken away from the crowd via a narrow escalator and stairs. They were heading to the KL Sentral underpass to reach the Hilton.
Following them was PKR Vice President N.Surendran.
Anwar looked relieved having escaped the shoving crowd. He was given medication before proceeding to the KL Sentral underpass.
There was a wound on the cheek of his bodyguard, Fayyadh, while some stains were evident on the back shoulder of Anwar’s white shirt.
Minute 1.03 onwards: Anwar looked happy and continued with diatribes against the government. He became even more excited when realising that the Reuters broadcast journalist was recording him. From then on he played his part to the hilt all the way through the KL Sentral underpass and the Hilton Hotel.
